FWIW I have both a tool wall and a set of 3 magnetic tool strips

Its the magnetic strips that work best, the board is saved for whatever isn’t magnetic

Another one for magnetic strips and trays. Main everyday tools are bolted to shelves and the specialised tools are in the tool bag so I can transfer them to the camper as and when.

Damn you creative organised types! I have a selection of random fat ball and bird seed tubs stuffed randomly with bits.

It’s a shocking affair and this thread makes my guilt grow

Not sure this qualifies as a tool board, but the garage is a bit better since a lock down sort out. Most of my small tools / special tools are in a roll cab out of shot but the small tools you need o n a regular basis I keep either on the clip on rails or a magnetic rail from Lidl. Small vice was my great, great grand fathers must b e about 100 years old and very useful, red thing to right is a small parts washer, ideal for chains and cassettes etc.
Probably the best improvement I made was altering the lighting, so there is adequate lighting on the bench top, previously I felt I was working in my own shadow. The little LED strip light was also a Lidl buy.

It's not quite a board, this is my shed corner. In my mind I took this picture after a big tidyup, but the reality seems different...

Couple of more bits to go up tomorrow and a couple more arriving in the post next week.

That’s looking good.
I’m about to do something similar, so watching with interest.
What clips / pegs are you using?

Thanks, pleased with how it's going.
I got some 'L' hooks from eBay in various lengths and some Terry clips from Amazon .
Ended up using a couple of long screws to put the torque wrench on (bottom left).

Waiting for cone spanners and pedal wrench, and that should be it.
Also need to degrease & re grease my bench vise and bolt it down.

And we're pretty much done!
Cone spanners and a few other bits finally up.
Managed to clean, re-grease and fix the bench vise too.

Just some shelving to go up on the RHS wall for greases and other consumables.

I must admit it took me a couple of seconds when I first saw it, I then laughed at my stupidity, I then laughed at the picture
