mark - you must be tall to run a layback and a 90mm ?? stem as the TT length on the Ti456 is suitably long enough to run a short stem on a proper 140mm travel fork...........?

the_lecht_rocks - It;s a thompson layback so not much different to layback on a normal straight seatpost, it was borrowed off my 29er and has since been replaced with a straight thompson, stem and bars have also been swapped out for thompson/easton set up.
Love it

Hasn't been this clean for a while. Yes saddle does go higher for climbs/alongs.
Now sporting fetching green Straitline pedals.

I've had mine for half a year now and I've since sold several of my other bikes as they just wern't getting used.

Stu hit the nail on the head, they are a fantastic ride but a lot of people hate them. Even Stu hates mine 😉

No John the frames fine. I't's just some of the shite you've hung off it..... 😯 😉

they are a fantastic ride but a lot of people hate them.

I don't think folks really hate them they just seem to have the wrong idea about why people buy them and a lack of understanding of why they look like they do.

"Pete that dropbar Litespeed looks great. You still got it?"

Sure have Stu. Gets used mostly as a commuter these days but has had a fine previous life with knobbly tyres and flat bars. Appeared in many 90s MTB mags and books when ridden by a guy called Chris Marsden, now sadly passed away.

Another non 0n-one example: Why would I have ti painted? ~ Because I can 😉
