Never used SRAM shifters before and wondered how people mount these along with hydraulic brake levers?

The shifter pod is quite a different shape from the Shimano ones I've used in the past plus the double thumb button is new to me.

So photos of the usual setup would be appreciated, cheers

Cheers Simon, are the shifters right up against the levers both horizontally and vertically?

If you are using Avid brakes and shifters you could use the Avid Matchmakers to mount both, alas, sold my bike with them on a few months ago, so no pics!

The double thumb shift must be catching as my new bike that is XT equipped now does the same, which was quite a relief, I hate learning new shifting operations, only just got out of the habbit of waving my right thumb around on my SS after 18 months 😳

OMG- did you not see my thread before? do not buy sram shifters, if you want to thread a cable its hell if you don't know what your doing, watch a few vids on how to do it, that's how i found out, but when you open the top cap you find 2 springs and if they come out you wont have a clue where to put them back unless like i say look it up lol, IMO don't buy them waste of time, Ive had them for about 3 years now so yes they last but when they start to die on you its a pain, im already thinking sram shifters suck and wanting new ones or something lol but its up to you! GL

The Match Maker clamps make everything very neat if you're using Avid or Formula brakes.

It's good, it's not worth the money though!

The longevity isn't great, I've totally trashed my jockey wheels, my big ring's dead too, the cassette's just as worn as anything else would be, despite the enormous replacement cost! If it doesn't last the season I'll be sticking X.0 spares on.

No Pics, but I have X9 triggers with Hope (Tech lever one side, normal mono the other).
No matchmakers (though they are on the agenda), and everything sits WAY more inboard than I used to with Shimano, maybe half an inch further than Chunky's pic - this is ver comfortable and allows 1 finger breaking with shifting every time you put the brake on.

XO Gripshifts FTW. Went from X9 triggers to these and wouldn't go back in a hurry.

I want/need the sram TT shifters and phil wood (or someone like that) adapters.

They look like Shimano roadie bar end/downtube shifters, but click like rapid fire shifters rather than rotating right round.
