Frame delivered yesterday, discovered they’ve made the switch from post to flat mount, build awaiting adapters...looks lovely though, replacing al with ti. Same build as much as possible. Will post picture when done. Probably the weekend now though. 😥
@pnik - what forks arrived with it? Someone on the fb group got theirs this week and said it had delivered with a pair of Kinesis forks rather than Sonder, and therefore less tyre clearance?
Be really interested to hear how you find the ride, coming from Alu.
For those wondering about new orders for the Ti, I got an email from them this week:
The preliminary date we have for these frames arriving is 15/03 however the forks are not due until late April.
Ahsat, I read that on the fab page also.
The reflection was they were under pressure to fulfil orders and shorten some elements and were “searching the stores for bits”
The op on the thread stated he was not overly concerned but felt the comms regarding the matter were poor (I agree)
Unfortunately a similar story across the board. Suppliers and manufacturers are struggling and often it’s not their fault. But comms is a really simple thing to do (ok if you have the staff!), and can make such a difference. My Stanton frame is now 6+ months on from ordering and comms has been an issue throughout - they are very friendly, but only if I chase them.
Tbf, my other option is a Kinesis so if it ended up with that fork, it wouldn’t be a disaster!

Finally my frame has been despatched,could anyone with an XL give me an idea of how long your rear brake hose needs to be? Even just from caliper to passing the headtube as obviously bar choice will make a difference.

Can any of the lucky people with Ti Caminos confirm the frame weight?
This thread inspired me to investigate Caminos and I am impressed, however the frame weight of 1.73kg for a small seems too good to be true compared to my current 1.4kg road bike frame.

I’ve had mine a month and am loving it.
It’s an AL medium stock with a ultimate black 38t oval chain ring and I had the whole frame wrapped.
It goes over all of my mtb cross country rides with ease and has put a right smile on my face.

@kendonagasaki looks really nice in grey. If I could sell my forks and they were in stock I think I get one.
Had mine for a year now and it's been superb. Currently in winter mudguard mode

@Ogden I'm pleased I chose the grey now it's arrived. I've ordered some heli tape to wrap the parts of the frame that I think will be the most affected by frame bags rubbing. I'd like to say I can worry about mudguards later in the year, but this is the UK. I'll use an old rear crud guard style for now.

mine was like that. The more I rode it the better it got, it’s better than the front now (which has stayed the same as from ‘new’...).
obviously mine would stay up for a three-four hour ride...
My Frame, pre-ordered last Friday with a stated delivery of 10th May arrived this morning!

@Metalheart I managed a quick 10 mile ride Monday evening and it seems good now with both tyres holding their pressure well. I covered the main frame with some heli tape last night and I'm pleased with the result. Not as good as the invisiframe on the mountain bike, but it'll do to protect from any bags rubbing. I'll hopefully get a decent ride in over the weekend now.

@swdan there's a few options on CRC, either budget Brand-x as above, Hope pick n mix, or I've gone for a Cane Creek 40 series as a midrange option.
Speaking of which, I went a bit nuts today on various websites and ordered basically a full build kit for my frame which is still in its box. It was supposed to be just a "frame swap" but that's gone right out the window, although I reckon I'll get a decent return on selling the donor Road bike on ebay these days!

Frame arrived a few weeks ago. Nearly finished, just a few of those annoying jobs to sort before I can test it.
The brakes arrived with the 'j-kit' setup which is bloody pointless, as if you need to shorten the hoses, you need to bleed anyway. I dont want those great big chunks of alloy dangling around on my hoses, so I've ordered a length of fresh BH59 and i'll bleed them properly.
I also had to swap my XTR front hub for a GRX front hub - I planned on using a 15>12mm axle sleeve but the actual endcaps would not fit in the fork without turning them down. So I have XTR rear, GRX front. At least the spoke legnths worked and I have an XTR desk ornament now.
And depsite working on an old bike, on this one, my rX mech wont clear the 42t so I've got a longer B-screw coming.
This was supposed to be a 'frame swap. The only part of the old bike I've used is the rear derailluer!

Also, the frame is a bit longer than the London Road it's replacing so I expect to replace the stem too. What length are people generally running? My old on was 100mm so thinking I might need to step down to 80mm or even 70mm. Going to build this up and see how it feels
I've gone for 70mm along with a Ritchey Butano bar which has quite a short reach and drop. Feels about right but its basically guesswork till I ride it properly.

Almost there, the build is taking ages! Only thing left to do is to sort the gears out. Which brings me onto my next question... I know doubles aren't cool anymore but does anyone run one? If you do could you take a photo of the cable routing on the downturn please. I think I need to switch the cables over at some point and am just trying to work out the best place to do it. Straight away or down by the bottle cage bosses?
I briefly ran a double but upgraded to 1x GRX so I can't get a picture. As you say, the cables look better at the front if they cross (twice - once in front of headtube, once behind). IIRC I crossed immediately after the first downtube cable guides. If you tether them at the top and bottom of the downtube, you can just choose where to make them cross - it doesn't require any particular planning. Just do what looks right to you.
Cheers. Yes, the double is a stop gap and came off the bike this is replacing. Hopefully going 1x grx when stock and funds allow.
I currently have them crossed just after the head tube, I looks ok but a bit if a mess. Hopefully when I tighten up the zip ties it will look a bit better.

my Camino had the FSA wheelset upgrade over the basic one and it turns out there were issues on some of them with the front wheel was shipped with 15mm spacers on some (instead of 12mm obviously).
I had issues with never seemingly to be able to get the front calliper to centre properly and had intermittent rubbing manifest mid ride. When I had to take off the wheel for putting on the van, took out the wheel and the cups dropped off...
They are pretty mashed and there is also some internal wear to the hub.
I contacted Sonder who initially sent out replacement cups but they didn’t solve the issue so I phoned back up today and they have sent out a replacement wheel (they were going to send both!) so this is not a go at them.
If you’ve experienced similar disc rub issues might be worth checking that you’re on 12mm spacers.
Finally finished mine (for the time being and until I can afford/get hold of grx). Am really like it so far
