This thread still needs more Enigmas

Cracked it- you can never have too many Enigmas

This one is now tarted up with carbon stem and seatpost, and Hope RD40 carbon wheels. Now I just need a decent engine

De-stickered Prime RR50, they came with horrible glittery decals that had to come off but were £500 including tubes and Hutchinson tyres. It's running Mavics on the turbo trainer at the moment though ☹️

Yo Yohandsome - that's impressive, are you about 6'5"? ....and marginally curious...Singlechainring and normal rear block, you must be pumping out the Watts - get any KOM's? and you do that on flat pedals?

For all his inane questioning that is a good looking bike.

Pedal needs to be at 2 o'clock though.

And valves at 6 o'clock.

And in the small sprocket.

And in the small sprocket

I'd disagree. The rear mech cage should be 90 degrees to the ground. Small sprocket bunches the mech up too much.

Unless you mean so it shows what a powerhouse the rider is.

Gets overlooked at cafes because it’s not an aero wedge in bright colours and I’m fine with that.

By a mile the nicest bike on here so far though, imho. Well, not by a mile over the other Rourke up there, but you know what I mean. Lovely. The more compact carbon with discs I see, as functional as they are, the better trad HTs, rim brakes and slim steel tubes look.

Those purple CAAD12s are really nice too.

Correct : )

Singlechainring and normal rear block

34T rear? Normal for a 2x gravel bike.

And that bar tape's bugging me, either change color above or below the hoods, not half way.

Is bar tape above the hoods even aero?

52x11-32T, 6'4", XT hybrid SPDs as it's mah only bike like em a lot.

Get any KOM's? Did Beyonce get any grammys?!

Inane?!

Don't worry, it's just a lill tape to cover the cables going into the bars might even be aero.

@mrb123, the mudguards on the black Focus Paralane are Curana, supplied with the bike and designed to fit via holes in the dropouts and held by grub screws. They're very good but nothing else will fit so if they break I'll have to get some replacements from Focus direct.

Mrb123, mine are the Spesh Plug and Play mudguards. Expertly fitted by a Yoda like spanner-God at my LBS and accesorised with a Brooks flap. They stay on all year round, as the bike is ridden all year round.

Never the slightest hint of a rattle. Proper metal stays and fixings are the key, I think.

Had been running my Evergreen all year round with 38s, 1x and mudguards. It's super comfortable and versatile:

[img] [/img]

But got a hankering for something properly fast again and built this:

[img] [/img]

Ti (of course!), and whilst not quite as exotic as a Moots or Seven, it rides really nicely and seems well made.

Mrs Kilo’s good road bike

Red roberts

Took ages for them to make and the specc’ed fork never turned up. Lovely bit of kit and iirc she got a half iron man age group podium on it. Columbus tubing, fairly light, beautiful paint job on it. There’s another Roberts of hers with s&s couplings in the shed but cba’ed getting it out.

Mrs Kilo’s ss road bike. Doesn’t get lots of use but she says it’s lovely and it has pink wheels!

Thanks @jameso I changed the wheels for a pair of Hope RS-50SPs I’ve got but despite it looking 7% more aggressive and being marginally quicker, I miss the comfort of the alloy wheel build.

Kid.a, are you running your hutchinsons tubeless? If so, how are you finding them and which variant have you got? Nice bike by the way, I have the SL5 disc comp which I’m really pleased with but would like the extra tyre clearance of yours.

@claudie

are you running your hutchinsons tubeless?

No, I've not gotten around to it yet, was meaning too. They're great tyres, will be buying again. They are "Hutchinson Fusion 5 11Storm Performance".

I love the bike btw, currently has 28mm tyres, I think 32mm will fit no problem.

I know what you mean. Recently got these and haven't de-stickered yet. Currently looks a bit logo-heavy I think. Plain black rims with tan-walls is a winner though.

First Scott I have owned and loving it,

Nice, thanks for posting, the Addict 10 has just made my list of potential replacement bikes to my Rose Xeon. Saves some weight and has proper clearance for 28mm tyres.

Any idea what they're talking about when they mention Low and High BB settings? The geometry table is a bit of a mess so doesn't make it very clear...

Gets less use that it should (dirt's just too much more fun), and really needs drops putting back on it - I love the look of the bullhorns, but they just aren't as usable for me.

I love Solarider's Seven, 38c and full guards would be excellent. I'm running 40c (rizla mud clearance) so surprisingly capable even on some of my MTB routes with a few psi let out of the tyres - but can only fit clip-on raceblades.

My grotty parts bin COVID flyer, built to get me to work without looking like I was out "cycling"

This is the newest of my road bikes, a Boardman SLR Endurance with Ultegra Di2 and discs. I'm pretty sure I paid less than £2.5K for it, and it's a lot of bike for the cash.
