I've got the urge to build a do it all bike again. It will need to be able to do longish xc rides, jumps, uplift days and the yearly trip to the alps. It eeds to pedal and climb well, and descend like a stabbed rat.

Moon on a stick? Maybe, but i'm tempted to have another go at building one.

What have you got that does it all?

Not the fastest climber ever, but pretty good considering. Rode XC on it winter and spring in southern france no problem and its pretty sorted for the gravity stuff.

Now with added Reverb, Charge Spoon freebie saddle, Easton Havoc bars dork disc removed (Pic taken in the first couple of weeks of owning). Switch between the Times and flats, depending on how I feel on the day.

Stumpy Elite. I love it but if your doing more DH / uplift stuff I think the EVO with 150/160 forks would be perfect. I have a DH bike for that stuff.

Ibis Mojo HD - awesome as a single bike solution to all your riding needs (except commuting)

Its changed a little since these photos, it now has a ccdb air, reverb seatpost, easton haven carbon bars, and some hans dampf tyres

This is fairly current.

Depends on your "do it all" I guess, you wouldn't want to go dirtjumping on it and it'd not be the best XC race bike. But it does me well. As happy doing glentress blue or highland xc or a week in the alps or racing dh at fort william.

Not your typical do it all, but I have done it all on this! UK trail centres, DH/FR and natural XC stuff 🙂 Wish I'd kept the Boxxers tbh, they felt way better than the 55s I replaced them with.

In 160 guise.

Just need to swap the RC4 for the shorter RP23. limbo chips, DHF's for Ardents, Reverb for an Easton number, bars for narrower Havens, Lyriks for Revs and dinner plate rotors for smaller ones and it's a fairly light weight mile muncher. Easy peasy.

Haven't bothered doing it since the summer though, still get by.

Popped some Hans Damps on now and its ace.

A bit more with a dual ply larsen tt/minion combo - the only alps changes.

Do everything but 4x on it. Xc runs at swinley (flat), the mega, DH.

Looks great Chris, and have 3 extra points for the symetrical tyre logo placement in that pic.

(However, i will deduct a point for the not quite level cranks......... sorry, those are the rules 😉

Since fitted a KS i950 dropper
ArchEX-Pro2/Tesla wheels waiting to build/fit
Ghetto-tubless in the pipeline
Still considering an angleset h/set (68deg HA'd V2)
Lyriks, 50mm stem, 780mm bars would be nice for the downs but the extra weight* and (more) cramped cockpit I can't see is going to make it better on a proper climb
*Its already 32lbs with only XC tubes

David, you legend!! She is on now.... Lopes MRP.

Tis an ex hire bike that I bought from Morzine. Sold the Five to fund it and sold all the old bits after the last Alps trip to fund the new bits. Tried to get some money in before doing it up. Also had the frame brought down to the Alloy and then Lacquered by Orange.

Saved a fortune but had to do it it stages as the money came through. Really proud of the finished article though.

It weighs 31.8 lbs even with coil and was a revelation on Snowdon last weekend. Gonna be using it for Enduro next year, Lake Garda and hopefully Trans Provence if I get a place 🙂

I love it! Mines 120 front and it rides great, frame feels nice and tight and goes up'n'down like a good un..
Have fun! 😀

Just what I wanted to hear! Was thinking of maybe going with your wheels also. bit of extra strength but still light. On the lookout for a good deal 🙂

Will do mate, I got my Crossmax Sx's on the previous page from bike discount and they were here in two days, cheap also.

A nice frame deserves a decent pair of hoops......

They feel a lot stiffer (and quieter) than the pro2 evo crests I had on at first, considering they weigh about the same..
Worth it IMO..
