One of these. Great value for money for £250, would buy another no problem. Has mudguards, chain tug and different tyres now but otherwise as stock. It's all lasted a winter, the brakes are surprisingly good.

Not much of a commute really, 5 mins to nursery and back, then 5 mins the other way to the offices 🙂 It would probably look quite different if I had a proper commute!

Mine looks a lot dirtier and has SKS mudguards on, bottle cages and a Lyzene pump. About to get Mavic Askiums also for summer fast commutes.

Another muddy commuter (did I mention I hate riding on roads - or rather I hate driving near vehicles) [img] [/img]

If I have stuff to move it's 20 year old Kona converted to city duties:

[img] [/img]

If I don't, it's a 20 year old trek road bike (with guards in winter):

[img] [/img]

Was previously using a Specialized langster but no photos of that.

I wish it was this clean at the moment. Poor thing is absolutely filthy again, I only cleaned it on Sunday but 50 miles on country lanes and it's brown again.

What are these newer Cotic Roadrats like to ride? i had one of the mk1's and it was way too flexy.

Are they being happy loaded up with touring stuff? (or a child it seems?)

Now i'm in London my hybrid is my most ridden bike, much prefer flats to drops in traffic.

OK I'm calling bullshit on these commuters - they are clean. Mine to caked in dirt apart from the drive train which I clean maybe once a week.

Lots of disc brakes, jealous!

Spesh Allez, carbon forks, flat bar, bar ends, mudguards, singlespeed and absolutely covered in reflective tape (frame, forks, cranks, mudguards) plus reflective spokes

16 miles each way, done once a week

for the close to 50 mile full run in I use this, still covered in yesterdays grot.

and for a shorter 10 mile(ish) offroad route, this. My gear from getting home 30 mins ago has just been dumped next to it. Gotta go shift it and get a shower in a min

Although, if I'm planning on extending the ride home and heading off road I'll use the BFe as a commuter.

The handle lashed to it is a new block paving scraper outerer I picked up off the market on the way home.
Check out that stem, higher rise than a Glasgow tower block.
It serves me well for the £100 it cost.
