12cm is ~4.72", pulling numbers from the marketing blurb. But who knows, maybe 4.8 Minions/JJs etc. come in a tad smaller.

A bump for my curiosity, for when I get my one fitted.

4.7 vee bulldozer. Stonking rear rubber, not so good on the front, until you turn it around then its not too bad. Best fat front is a surly lou. Its nates evil devil worshiping cousin and is loads better than the bud even. Total overkill unless you ride daft offcamber rooty stuff in terrible slop but great fun

How does the Lou cope when entering mud patches? Does it go slideways?

Nah Lou is a beast. Run it as a front on all my big rubber bikes most predictable of all the fat fronts I've tried. Although 45north van Helga's are bloody good too for a smaller tyre. As much as I hate to admit it 4.6 ground control are a good middle ground as well

All I want is a front tyre that doesn't Aqua plane on entering mud at speed. Have tried a Nate and that washed just the same as anything else.

Zippykona, not trolling in any way, but isn't aqua planing in mud something you have to just accept with fat bikes?

Just seen a post at mtbr, which I can confirm, Schwalbe have just announced a 26x4.4 version of the Jumbo Jim, which should easily fit the Carbon fatty Fork. 😀

Gunz. I'm sure it can be fixed. It's the only aspect of fat biking that is a justifiable negative.
It used to be a problem on normal bikes til I discovered Bonty muds , so the answer is out there somewhere.
