Fenred!

Nice to here from you, hope your ok!

Sadly, the green one has a new owner. Some nice chap in the s/w has built it up for his first 29er! I still have the two above but on the look out for a disc cyclo crosser now! 😉

I am feeling some love for the 29er... had a carpark size test ride last week and it was very fast and very lovely.

So I will probably wind up ordering one in a couple of weeks 😉

Hi Tazzy,

Long time since I've heard from you! Hope your ok.

Shaun's busy with work. I speak to him lots and he tells me that he's riding when he can, generally with his son etc. He still has his new matching pair of raw Scandal's though, but I'm pretty sure he will be back!

Aargh. I've got a brand new karate monkey sat in the garage that I am dying to build up but instead I'm sat at the foot daughters bed because because she's poorly 🙁

getting extra daddy points is more important though....may not feel like it right now, but it is (I've had this fact beaten into me)

Alandavidpetrie79...seeing those hubs on your green Solaris literally had me email Surly yesterday, to enquire about re-anodising my SS hubs in red. 🙂
But, will probably just go for a wheel swap to some TN719's on red Pro2's. They just look superb with green.

Well it's the STW non-niche niche bike of choice 🙂 I'm very happy with mine - full review I did a while back here:

I've been lucky enough to enjoy two really, really good 29ers recently. I´m afraid that they are not very niche but they are not very mainstream either!

[img] [/img]
Mostly I have been riding the Commencal Meta 29er which is seriously fast and playful. I've put in over 60 days on this in the last few months and am really sad to give it back!
(First Impressions, Í have to write the full review this week!)

[img] [/img]
I have also had a test ride on this and will pick it up for a long term test this week. An Orbea Occam 29er which is going to be a lot of fun. Less travel and more racey than the Commencal but seriously stiff and precise with fantastic suspension. Looking forward to using and abusing it over the next few months.

Niner One9 set up for speed - now with added barends.

[img] [/img]

I've been thinking of a Niner MCR or Cotic Solaris set up to be a bit more trailly to go with it but the Singular offer from Sam is very tempting...

I can't get used to seeing 29ers with gears, and suspension after years of SS Rigiding.
But then again the only place I have taste is in my mouth, and with women obviously

My lastest
