So eldest daughter is getting on great on the 16" bike I made, youngest is flying on the balance bike.
I think the eldest will need a bigger bike soon so thinking I could make a 20" wheeled bike next.
Is there any simple frame CAD that would work for a small frame?
I'm guessing it would be best to go for a geared bike this time and maybe with discs front and rear..
I'd say look at the isla stuff but put your own mono / machined / pink twist on it.
If I remember correctly the frame you did has a bolt on rear, any scope to build a longer rear and longer fork?
I know Chainline from the Geometron thread sees the benefits of pushing kids geo to the max as they are super adaptable at that age so maybe ramp up the crazy on it.
I'm thinking of something a bit simpler this time around, making the lugs was a massive ballache TBH.
I did think it might be worth looking at the geometry a bit more this time around as I based the 16" one on a fairly tame set of figures and it does look a little steep at the front..
I've just downloaded rattleCAD...I think that will be great for the design 🙂
