I recently bought Sanderson Soloist, it came without wheels so I've borrowed them from another bike. Since I need to get some wheels I was thinking whether a 29er wheel up front would be a good idea.
I've got 2 sets of Race RC31's 440 and 425 mm, so if they 440's make the front too high I can whack on shorter ones.
The bike is mainly for riding in Epping Forest which is your standard rooty, boggy, rutty single track and for 48 weeks of the year it's a horrible claggy mudfest.

it'll probably look awful and you'll have to carry 2 tubes but who cares about that?

I've been riding an Inbred 69er and enjoying it lots. I say go for it
Go for the 425mm forks straight away, shorter forks will help it look more pleasing.
Is it 2006 again? 😆

Offload motorbikes rock the big front, small rear look and go pretty well in the dirt. Don't see why it shouldn't work on an mtb.
