That's right - what belt to hold me shorts up (no braces) to replace the god awful Endura offering. Cheers
endura ones...........I have 5 f.o.c if you want em. 😆
I just use a normal canvas belt, if it gets wet or mucky you can always remove the buckle and chuck it in the washing machine.
More pies has been my solution. Nice and snug, no need for a belt for me.
I have a couple of these that I use....

Think I paid 3 quid from sports direct.
Easily adjustable, more robust than the endura ones and the cinch holds with no slippage. Just chuck them in the wash when muddy.
Basically, any canvas belt you can find cheaply. Sports Direct, H&M, Primark, all will have something suitable and cheap.
The one I bought from H&M was cheap but it was also a bit shit.
Bought this as a Black Friday deal https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01D1HAV9I/ref=pe_1909131_77697121_tnp_email_TE_AMZLdp_1 although I am gonna buy some more at full price as it is very good. Plastic buckle means you can just chuck it in the washing machine, plus it's not branded which I like.
Ooooh! it's TACTICAL!
Yeah, I lol'd at that, only took a punt on it originally cos it was cheap. It's really good though, and actually looks reasonable too.

best belt I've ever had. i once left it in airport security and went to the bother of getting it back from lost property the next time I flew through that airport.
I got hacked off with the crappy buckles and skinny webbing of the off the shelf numbers so I made my own. A roll of 40mm webbing and some Ladderlock buckles ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-Black-Plastic-Ladderlock-Buckles-for-40mm-Webbing-/121821000708?hash=item1c5d18f404:m:mnaVdHEckLoD7sE6ELQ_KIg ) Much better than anything I was able to buy. Have actually replaced most of my work trousers with them too. You can just leave them on for washing too.
I wear a pair of bib shorts as a liner, then a pair of lightweight baggies that have adjustable velcro tabs on the side to tighten the waist. Because all the weight is really in the bibs, the shorts just stay put.
Surely this is a good use of a 29er inner tube? They'll become pull ups AND you have a spare tube
