I'm after a shorter stem for my 456 and I'm thinking about this one.
Will this clamp size fit?
Thanks.
The stem clamps onto your fork and bars not the frame 😯
If you've got a "standard" 1.125 head tube 456 and forks then yes.
Bars usually come in two sizes 25.4 or 31.8.This stem is for the latter.
TBH 105mm stem length doesn't seem that short to me!
Ok think I need educating on this.
Mine looks like this one.
The one in my first post looks smaller but the spec says not.
Make sure you know what a shorter stem will do to your handling characteristics, it is one of the most significant differences you can make to how your bike behaves, just don't be surprised by it. Shorter stem means quicker response to stearring and further back for DH but it will feel twitchy and unforgiving of you over cook it. Very short stem, great for tech DH but you need light hands and wide bars ...

Chuck, what length is the one you have? How much shorter do you want to go?
What's your current set up?
Frame size, body size, stem length and rise, bar width and rise?
Why you want to change? Any steering or comfort issues?
I think the one in the OP has a typo on the On One site? Can't see why you would have a 105mm stem in the Gravity series especially when you see the size of the one in the picture, call them they're good at sorting these things out.
Thanks for the info. Yes it does look like a typo to me as well.
I don't have any issues really. I would just like to experiment.
Frame: 18inch
Stem: 100mm
Bars: 720 mm
50mm or 60mm stem would be ideal for a 456 with 720mm bars I reckon, assuming you already have plenty of reach.
Mine currently has 60mm stem/710mm bars.
