Sounds like an obvious title, but I don't mean using the adjuster. Does anyone know if its possible to shorten a set of new (150mm or 140mm) fox talas forks so that the max travel was 130mm? I know I could just use the talas adjuster but in the case of the 2 position ones I'd loose the benefit of the adjuster. What I'd like is to set them to 130mm max, and then be able to use the talas adjustor as normal. E.g. a 140/120/100 set would become 130/110/90.
Not really, no.
I asked Mojo this...it was a definite no. Shame
I guess its due to the max travel of the internals and stantions Simon?
Oh well, now did they ever make a 150/130/100 model (or similar as long as there is a 130 level). hmm
You could get the 2009 and 2010 model in 150-130-110
Foxy, due to the internals.

Cool, sounds perfect.
10mm? Is it really enough to make a noticeable difference, REALLY????
...but then again you could get the 140-120-100 model. Fox have slightly lower Crown 2 Axle heights so a 140mm Fox fork is only 5mm higher than an 130mm RS fork, for example.

Noop, big enough to void the frame warranty though!

Now that I didn't know. Since its a pike I have now that would be being replaced that sounds interesting. On a similar note the DTSwiss forks on my full sus have the same A-C as a 140mm pike, but have 150mm travel (which was a nice bonus).

Aaaaah.
Moot point now as I've manage to buy a brand new set of 120mm Reba Teams with black box for £250 (assuming the order get fulfilled)!
