I said she’d win to mrs Ampthill before the start

It was a brilliant ride from Evie. I’m a massive fan having stood opposite her last summer whilst she cheered Tom Pidcock onto his world championship win

The commentators aren’t great at passing on the back ground. I thought she’d be in form as she was fifth at the Olympics despite having missed a chunk of training and racing due to concussion. Of course i didn’t know she’d been doing 20 second sprints at altitude for the last 3 weeks, which must have helped

And a great return for Annie Last who was 16th i think
