I fancy a short (35m) ultra marathon in 14 weeks time. I've done **** all exercise since my 3:14 marathon in April. I also fancy the Durty tri weekend in mid Sept (9 weeks away).
I am thinking of just easing into decent length runs, with a back to back 20-20 miler 3-4 weeks before the ultra.
Swimming wise my technique is crap so I'll just try to work on that 1- times a week, also just get my body used to hard efforts on the bike, as I'm not going to get any fitter in that time.
Make sense?
You could get lots fitter in that time. Your plan seems good though.
How so? I thought training benefit took 4-6 weeks? Lots of hard work right now?
Which leaves you a couple of months of fitness gains...
I'm easing back into running, it'll take a while until I can hit it hard I'd have thought.
