Has anyone managed to squeeze a zee mech onto a 40t cassette adapter and get it working?

yep mine works fine too. Chain can be a little slack in smallest gear so you need to be accurate with chain length and line

Thank you ^. I'll have something to keep my busy for a bit this weekend when it's raining cats and dogs. What about 42t? Just out of interest.

I've got a SS cage on my XTR rear mech on my Tallboy and it is working absolutely fine with the Hope 40t. I double checked the chain length and dropped the shock to make sure it would not be a problem at full compression but it all works spot on.

I use a Zee FR mech with a Hope T-Rex 40t on my Trance with no problems.

Oneup say 40th is fine as long as your frame has less than 25mm of chain growth.
