On my road ride I pass a particular shop on a one way street, which sends my wireless speedo readings haywire, in fact the speedo never recovers even when removed from the bike and continually clocks up speed and distance. This has happened twice now, so im guessing its the the security gates for tags on clothing which has somehow messed with the speedo receiver.
Does anyone have any potential fixes for this.Fortunately i don't spend lots on computers otherwise i'd be very angry.
ditch your wireless comp ad get a wired one (or gps-based if you want to try spending lots on computers 😉 )
(or make it a tinfoil hat!)
If you're the complaining type, complain to the shop (or maybe to Ofcom if you want to escalate) the the shop is emitting illegal levels of electromagnetic interference.
Could make a complaint i guess, but this shop is 35 miles away on my Sunday training ride. Maybe i'll ring the council if i've got time, see what they say. Should be straightforward if its illegal levels of magnetic interference.
Good luck with that one.
My cheapo wireless one used to clock me at over 60mph going through Ravensthorpe on an old steel Emelle and I once caught it doing 78mph on the breadbin. The first instance may have been down to taxi office radios, the second was the under-unit LED downlighters.
Maybe the electromagic from the gate actually gives you heightened super cycling powers, and you are in fact cycling at 68.345mph up a hill?
If that's the case, I'd stop complaining and go smash some KOMs.....
