Oh where to start so many systems out there, I can do with some help!
I run a Small business and would like a POS system with barcode (print new and scan) that will do basic stock control as well.
I have a laptop (windows 8), and I have seen I can get software that turn it into a POS,
Do they work?

I know I would need to get a barcode scanner, barcode printer, receipt printer.
My biggest worry is getting everything to work together with out to much trouble.
So has anyone turn their PC/laptop into POS and like to recommend me some software and hardware that work together?
I use stock pro manager app on my phone to keep track of stock, not to bad but it is a bit long winded updating etc.
So maybe just use that (or a stock control system on laptop) and do a receipt out by hand?
Or any other system that I could use? looking to save time in the long run when selling and re-ordering, but can't afford to spend to much.
