If you know shoeshine on the moor above Oxenhope/Haworth, just a little warning some nice person had placed a pile of rocks right at the bottom of the little drop off bit when I got there today, so in avoiding the rocks you end up missing the little gully that's just beyond it and go off down the side of the bank.
I thought we'd escaped the morons round here but possibly not. Could also be a coincidence I suppose...
Did you move the rocks? And if it's where I'm thinking (near the caravan park) it's not a BW, not that it makes much difference!
And thanks for the heads up 👍
Yes, just after the caravan park turn left and it joins the lower path by the gate.
Perhaps walkers have found the drop too much and have built it up? Maybe not done with cyclists in mind?
I sent my friend that way a few weeks ago (he's a roadie) and he said he walked that bit, he said it was too scary to ride. 🤣
It is bridleway according to the os map. Yes it's the bit left at the caravan park small gate that goes down to the other bigger gate.
Saw someone go down it the other day with a child sitting on one of them seats over the top tube...
Yes, you're right:-)
Went down Shoeshine on Friday and again today, clear of rocks both times 👍
Just keep moving the traps, downhill if you can to make them more difficult to put back. They'll give up in the end.
Shifted one local to me yesterday. A 20kg rock I would estimate. Not easy to carry back up out of the gulley I rolled it into.
