I bought a second hand x-fusion hilo a few weeks ago, need the put some air in it but my suspension pump doesn't seem to put any air in. I don't think it's actually engaging with the vale properly so air isn't getting in.
I know it doesn't want need much pressure, 20/25 psi. Has anyone else had this??
Had this with a fox shock in the past. Like it needed a deeper needle on the schrader
Swap the valve core, standard Schrader (car tyre) valve.
This rings a very vague bell.... something to do with being able to adjust the "prong" in the lump to extend further to push the valve by turning it? Ie it might not be pushing the valve head down enough in the shock.
Sorry, that's all my pitiful brain can manage.
Yeah I think that's what's happening, needle needs to be longer, as it's not pushing the valve core down enough.
I'll see if it'll extend out any more or see I can swap the valve core out for a different one...
I only vaguely remember this as I thought at the time it was posted, "well, I did not know that". Lol
😆it's worth a try!
Shock pumps are normally adjustable with a small flat blade screw driver

^^ bigyan has it, cheers mate. My memory is terrible.
Looks like mine isn't!
Will swap the valve core and see if that works, then buy a new pump if it doesn't...
