Hi, newly registered but been reading the forums here for quite a while now. I've got a scott ransom 40 and the troublesome equalizer shock! My problem this time isn't the shock but the pump that came with, trying to get up to pressure earlier the flexible adapter hose keeps popping off from the main pump when It gets to around 20psi. From what I can tell this only pushes on rather than screws, I was thinking of sticking some glue on the male(?) part but have to be careful not to block the air flow, or the other thought it to crimp the metal surround.

Do these seems sensible, any other suggestions or is the pump a gonna?

Thanks

Go to a hardware store and get a small hose clip?

Worth a try before you buy a new pump.

That may be a good shout, the only problem is the bit that connects has a metal surround, hopefully if I've done it right you can see it in this pic, so not sure how effective it will be, unless the surround comes off maybe

Hi Simonbea,
Sounds like your pump has had it. Suprising though as we use our pump all day every day and get a years use out of it before it needs replacing.
You'd be pretty lucky if you manage to repair the hose especially as it needs to withstand 350psi. If you find a way let me know 😉
If you need help sourcing a new pump than pleae feel free to contact us on 015397 32262 or suspensionservicing@cycles.com and i can get a price for you.
Regards
Robin
