When I'm up on the hills, ma
Shock don't like it when its hot, Shock don't like it when its hot, Shock don't like it when its hot
When the midge try to get at you
Shock don't like it when its hot, Shock don't like it when its hot, Shock don't like it when its hot
And if a walka get a attitude
Shock don't like it when its hot, Shock don't like it when its hot, Shock don't like it when its hot
I got the Garmin on my arm, and I'm pourin' Chandon
And I roll on DT wheels, 'cause I got it goin' on
That's probably the limit of my gangsta rap career to be honest and I'm probably about 20 years too late anyway
But yeah it started creaking like a mofo t'other week on a bare hot day after I hammered it down cut gate. I could feel the creak holding my hand over the shock air can body. Didn't *seem* to be a pivot bush or bearing, but quite hard to tell
The creakign calmed down when I was riding on smoother stuff but came back after another long rocky downhill.
Back in the workshop, it seemed to have lost a bit of pressure.
I've pumped it back up - not lost any air over a few days. Had a good bounce around on it tonight and it seems fine. No creak, no weird noises, moves fine, holds pressure.
I poured a bit of hot water on it and the creak seemed to come back a bit (though I'm not sure)
I am fairly convinced the heat caused the creak. Cooled down. Stops. Not conclusive yet, but that's the best theory I've got.
Anyone had this? Fox DPX2, Trunnion mount, Transition Sentinel V1.
Is it fundamentally knackered and/or bound to explode at any minute?
[Bit annoying if it is because I'm hoping to possibly do a long backpackingy type ride on that bike later in't week....and it's going to be hot weather again and include big rocky hills also if I do it]
