so after every ride back brake is contaminated and need topping up.I cant see any obvious leaks but its not right.i get that they are basically disposable ,but has anyone had any success in stripping down and rebuilding ? or where to get a suitable caliper m665 .dont want odd levers but ok with diff calipers or complete set

Yes, see my thread [url= http://forums.mtbr.com/brake-time/ever-wondered-how-hydraulic-brake-calliper-works-848452.html ]here[/url]. Shimano callipers can be serviced as easily as any others, the problem though is if the seals or pistons are borked you can't buy spares.
However, with a new SLX calliper only 30 Euro from [url= http://www.bike-components.de/products/info/p34416_SLX-Bremssattel-BR-M675-mit-G01S-Resinbelag-Modell-2013-.html?xtcr=23&xtmcl= ]here[/url] you might as well buy a new one...
One of mine failed after resetting a stuck piston (I pushed it in crooked); I ended up just buying a new complete brake second hand cheap. They used to sell the calipers as spares on Chain Reaction but it's an old model now so I don't think you can any more.
Best to just buy a new style SLX caliper to replace it, or a new complete brake to swap your lever onto.
By the way M675 and M666 calipers are identical, new ones are just painted a slightly darker shade of grey and the "SLX" logo is in the new style.
thanks for the info new caliper on the way .de just got to replace mech hangerand jockey wheels and straighten rear mech. not a cheap sport is it? oh tyres also 😕
