can anyone point me in the right direction for shiamano shoes please?
i've not had shimano for years, but am going back to them, due to issues with comfort on my s-works shoes...
unfortunately the lbs only sells spesh!
im a size 9 uk in all shoe sizes (trainers, works shoes etc), and in spesh i have to have a 10uk 44eu?
can anyone tell me roughly which is a good way to go, do i need to size with these, or just the same as current shoe size...only be used for summer duties, so no mega thick socks needed
I found I needed to go up a size and even then get the wider option.
Its worth a try on first if you can
IME, spesh are a wider fitting, Shimano are narrower (and slightly smaller). Note 661 certainly used to be made in the same factory so have identical sizing to Shimano.
I'm 8.5-9ish. I wear size 43 Shimano shoes/boots etc. If you're a 9, you might find 43 too small
I have two pairs of Shimano shoes one AM type shoe and one normal XC type shoe (sorry can't remember model numbers). I find my normal shoe size works fine with them.
But Shimano shoes are built with a narrow last. So people often recommend going up a size to get more width. I personally think this is an incorrect thing to do as the shoe is now longer too but, it seems to work for others ... ?
I found shimano shoes far too narrow so have gone for a one size up pair of spesh shoes and they're excellent 🙂
Shimano come up very small. I'm a UK10 in everything, but have to wear a 45 in Shimano for the length, and even then I don't have particularly wide feet at all but the wide fitment shimano shoes fit me better than the narrower ones.
Try before you buy for certain. Good shoes, just you need to try them on to get the right size before clicking buy IMO.
cheers guys! theres enough info there, to make me take a specific trip to another shop then! thanks!
spesh are good size wise, just go up one!
I usually wear and 8/42 and have wide but slim feet (flippers!?), but have Shimano MP66s in size 43 with thin socks and MW81s in size 44 with thick socks.
