I’m replacing the pads for the first time - are all pads the same, or does anybody have any favourites? I saw some by Gorilla that seemed good.
If there is such a thing I’d like them to squeal as Little as possible.
Cheers

Cheap as chips and seem to work fine:

I wondered this recently and there was a mixture of opinions - slightly
More people suggested going for standard ones over aftermarket. Main reason quoted was after market ones are generally more ‘squealy’. I was considering the Uberbike finned replacement pads but I’ve got lost r785 front / rs505 rear and they didn’t have matching compounds front and back in stock.

So I bought the standard finned shimano ones. Haven’t put them in yet as the brakes need bleeding first as I also fitted new sti’s in the last few weeks.

Couldn’t find one lot of the pads cheaper than about £20 delivered but the other set were £12 delivered from someone on ebay

Another recommendation for the standard pads.

"Right then" I thought, "after those recs I'll go Shimano".

None of my LBS have them in stock. Halfords don't have them in stock. Wiggle and Chain Reaction don't have any - who knew they were so hard to find? They cost 22 quid on Amazon! I don't mind paying extra for originals, but that's 4 times as much as some of the reasonable looking alternatives.
The Decathlon version are out of stock as well, so it looks like I'm back to square one.

I'll probably try some on-line maufacturer. Here's hoping.

I usually get the best price on them from the German/French shops.
