Dear All,
I'm having trouble finding the correct parts to connect my new road brakes at the caliper end.
Chain Reaction suggest
But according to Shimano the insert needs to be gold / bronze, so I'm not sure CRC are right!
I can't find a supplier that offers the right kit and am getting frustrated.
This PDF gives part numbers, but again my research has lead to nothing:
Can anyone help?
Many thanks,
Dom
Part no's for the connectors and hoses are different, so you could try the link for the XT kit CRC gave you but no guarantee it will fit. Some of the bits are interchangable but given they are different hoses it may not work.
Any LBS with a madison account will be able to order the parts in for you.
You can buy them as part of a hose kit: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/shimano/bh59-rs685-rs785-disc-brake-hose-ec070012
Edit: You can actually get the fittings pretty easily if this is what you need, google SM-BH59 olive http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Shimano-SM-BH59-SM-BH90-Disc-Brake-Compression-Olive-Hose-Connector-Insert-/160979706556?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item257b2362bc
Thanks for your help. I spotted the eBay listing, but it doesn't include the bolt that slides over the hose and screws into the caliper.
Maybe this will do the job?
