I need to replace my rear hub. Its currently a Shimano FH-M525-SL VIAM with a 145mm axle. After looking at them online, M525 hubs seem to have 135mm axles, allthough in the shimano tech docs document its down as a 145mm axle.
Are there 2 sizes of axle, or are they measuring across different places?
Does the 'SL' on my hub mean anything, or will a standard M525 hub do?
Help!!

AFAIK...
135mm drop out spacing, 145 axle length.

By replace your hub it doesn't need to be shimano can be anything

I say im replacing hub....Im actually only replacing freewheel, axle and cones etc..
Main hub body is staying on...
cheaper to buy whole hub and strip down for parts...
