Some advice please. Ordering some lighter wheels for a Giant Trance I have ordered (I don't currently have the bike). The bike comes with Shimano SLX 12 speed (10-51T). Looking to order some Hunt wheels, they have the option of "Shimano/SRAM HG Boost", or "Shimano Microspline", which one should I order to be able to swap the wheels over?

Bikes current hubs are listed as "Shimano, sealed bearings"

If it comes with the Deore CS-M6100 cassette then it’s Microspline.

hmm some shimano 12 speed stuff is not microspline, so its not a golden rule, but if its got a 10t cog on it it can't be hg

some shimano 12 speed stuff is not microspline,

ALL Shimano 12 speed mtb cassettes are microspline.

Some other manufacturers (SRAM , sunrace etc) make a HG compatible 12 speed cassette but not in 10-51

The trance will come with microspline

So I'd order ms for ease of swappability if that's a word

The bike comes with Shimano SLX 12 speed (10-51T).

If it come with the FH-MT410 rear hub then get rid!

Possibly Shimano's worst product ever. The bearings fail, the pawls are as hard as diamonds, and the hub ratchet is made from Tofu.
