So got the hard tail out of the shed and brakes are not stopping bike, levers are pulling to bars, so tapedup levers to bar, that usually fixes it but for some reason its not working this time, what hydraulic fluid do i need for a top up, or anything else i should look at.
Don't Shimano brakes all use mineral oil rather than hydraulic fluid?
I've had 3 brakes replaced on warranty due to this - I would enquire if I were you
Sounds like it needs a bleed. Shimano mineral oil.

Top up and a bleed.
Use Shimano mineral oil or LHM automotive suspension fluid.
