I need to replace a bent Deore hydro lever with a straight one and I was wondering whether I would need to top up the fluid?
I ride euro brakes so I have swapped hoses across many times without having to play around with fluid and olives etc but I thought that this woudl be different as the new lever reservoir will be empty.
Any ideas/tips?
If you fill the reservoir, replace the cap, hold the lever with the hose outlet at the highest point and pump the lever until you see oil coming out and no air then refill the reservoir, you might get away with it. I'd bet against it though.

Before the hose is attached? I'll give that a try.
