I mounted it direct to my specialized camber alu 2013 frame, i routed the shifter cable on the downtube, and under the bottom bracket, and up through the small hole behind the bottom bracket. And i clamp the cable to the anchor there, bit it pulls the wrong way! -the fd should could run both top and bottom, but i cant see how to run it otherwise .. 😥
The cable does'nt go directly to the clamp.It threads up through the middle of the mech over 2 'guides' (2 hooks above the clamp bolt) and back down to the clamp bolt.

Oh dear........... yummy i will get asap home and do your trick!
Just make sure the cable lies along the whole guide bit,they have a tendency to come off the side until there's a bit of cable tension (especially if you're moving the mech by hand when setting it up).
Rorschach, your the man, it just instant worked, and i got a little bit wiser..., - i was otherwise at the point to a mechanical brain-meltdown 😆
