So my son was complaining of a dead brake , went to bleed it and noticed he has pushed out and lost the pistons all together. I've seen pistons and seals on ebay but only for higher end shimano brakes. Is it worth trying to fix the brake or just try and buy a used second hand deore / Slx or Xt brake. Im presuming to fit It wwould be a case of splitting the caliper fitting the seal , piston then rejoing and a bleed to see if they work.
