How much?!!!!
£12 for a pair of caliper bolts! https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/brakes/shimano-brrs505-caliper-fixing-bolt-c-10mm-y8n208000/
Anyone know why they are any different? Top bit to avoid overtightening I presume?
The odd machined bit at the top allows for the small safety pin that goes through the Cali per to lock the rear or lower bolt into the Caliper so it can’t fall out
But yes it’s a lot of money
Also, be aware that the length specified on the bolts is not the length of the bolt, but the thickness of the chainstay that it goes through.
That little gem cost me several trips to the bike shop and about a week of riding time.
Ahhh. Cheers - yep, I need the shortest one which feels like the least value for money due to length. Ha!
Understand what the pins are for in the wee bag of gubbins now. Thanks!
