Upgraded my fatty brakes from cables to Deore m6100 hydraulics...now the shifters are too far from the grips as the levers have a stand-off preventing the shifters fitting in there. Is this because the levers are designed or the shifter pods that bolt on to them? Or has my upgrade failed and is leading to further spending?

Is it an i-Spec thing?

What shifters are they?
And have you tried swapping the shifter to the other side of the brake clamp?

If they're SRAM shifters they can be a PITA to get right as they don't tend to line up too well with Shimano brakes.

Thanks; they are Shimano Deore, but older than the new levers.
