Trying to bleed my 785 rear brake before a ride tomorrow morning. I've got the epic bleed solutions 2012+ kit. No matter ehat I do im unable to syringe any fluid into thr bleed valve of the caliper! Ive got the funnel/empty syringe connected to the lever reservoir but no fluid ever enters it!

I've taken caliper off frame and its below lever still cant get fluid in.

Any ideas?

At this rate im out of tomorrow's ride as my rear brake is now unusable.

So fed up been trying hours now.

Is it some kind of air lock?

Thanks

Have you tried an elastic band round the brake lever to handlebars?

Try opening the bleed valve more than the 1/8 turn they suggest?

Not sure on how the Shimano calipers work - have you opened the bleed valve?

Have you tried undoing the freestroke screw 4 or 5 turns ?

don't use the syringe,
under bleed nipple, pull lever in, close bleed nipple, release lever (lever should keep full due to yellow funnel in there.
and repeat, (its the old fashion way and it still works!)
Also have to taken the pads out and put in the block to bleed?

Put pressure in the system by squeezing the lever. keep opening the bleed nipple.. something has to spurt eventually!

Bit late to this one. The free stroke adjuster strikes again! Glad you got it sorted. 🙂
