Anyone used a 30.9 to 31.6 shim with a dropper?
I've got a perfectly good KS Lev in 30.9 and my new frame is 31.6 shims ok or not?
Steel hardtail new frame.
Ta
Yeo, got a 100mm USE one, goes past the minimum insertion on the reverb. Been fine for 18 months
Used a 27.2 to 31.6 (also a LEV), if it makes a difference... Do keep in mind the that the leghtwise gap in the shim makes a nice path for water/crud to go down the seat tube, I packed it nice with grease.
Finally got a longer and girthier Revive to fill the gap :).
yep I just did exactly that with my Mukluk. Already had a 30.9 Ascend so bought a 30.9 to 31.6 USE shim from winstanleys and its in like flynn. No problems yet but then I've only been out twice
How much is a new outer tube for that dropper?
30.9 to 31.6 USE shim for a KS Dropzone and it works fine. In a carbon frame no less.
30.9 to 31.6mm with a Reverb on my Codiene. No issues at all and lets my swap with all my other bikes which are 30.9 if I want to
Fine in my bike. 100mm USE one. I did not know they could machine alu that thin, but they can - it's a nice thing.

Softened candle wax in the hole is more durable. Also make the slot face forward.
Got a 27.2mm Thomson in a 30.0mm Kona Stinky, can't find any 30.0mm droppers so no choice really. It's been fine.

Cunning idea!
