Hi, noticed that there is a xc race at Sherwood Pines on the 2nd April, part of the British series. General question about the categories, I'm 40+ and trying to decide between the veteran or open categories. Whilst I've done a fair amount of racing in the past always for fun and never at the sharp end.

Is the veteran category aimed at ex elites (not me) and not mixed ability? Is a race license required?

I'm assuming that a race license (just BC membership) is not required for the open category? And will have a varied ability level ranging from beginners to sport/expert all age groups?

Thanks

If you're serious enter Vets, its the right category, Open is a more of a have a go if you fancy this stuff kinda thing.

Race license will be required
