Anyone had any coaching from the guys at Sherwood Pines?
Experiences?!
Which one? I think there's a few running out of there. I do know a chap who lives nearby who's a Mias qualified coach who I would recommend. PM me and I'll put you in touch if you like.
I don't know about Sherwood Pines but Mick Fairest is close by and certainly knows his stuff http://www.mickfairestcyclingcoach.co.uk/
Everyone's a Sherwood MIAS coach. Me included.
In the pines weekly, normally 3-4 times. Know some guys doing the coaching. If you want a recommendation me.

If I go there in a half an hour will I be coached by someone just by looking into there eyes?
What skills are you looking to work on?
What skills are you looking to work on?
General XC riding although I really need to work on jumping! I cant Jump, Bunny hop etc, I feel I can ride to competent level but sure that an empty head could be filled with skills I should already be using.
I tell you what, drop me an email if you want as I might have a very good deal for you...
my forwarding service on the site seems to be down, so info.mtbguide@gmail.com
PS. if you want jumping skills, theyre very xc orientated at pines.
wysiwyg can I email you too 😀
feel free
Brill ygm 😀
I had some coaching from Mountain Bike Rock School who works at/near Pines. Very good!
wysiwyg
I apologize, completely ignored the thread!
Still interested, Expect an email soon!
Holy thread resurrection batman
No problems btw.
A few years ago I had a session there with AQR - not sure if they still do coaching there
Can I assume this is your website?
Nope that's not me, and mine seems to be broken... Hmmm
Im mainly word of mouth, do quite a lot of gravity stuff at wharncliffe less stuff at pines, and tbh the amount of pines coaches is large and no offense to them but I'm a more gravity orientated rider so prefer Wharni. Id say my personal skill Set is greater than any of the pines boys so I teach drop offs and jumps etc. obv also do the basics.
With regard to coaching at Sherwood Pines, remember that anyone doing so needs to be licenced by the FC for that particular location.
That's one of the reasons my friends and I coach out of Cannock.
Heres my latest protege - only ridden Pines and once at Cannock, 3 weeks riding in total he reckons, borrowed my bike went to Les Gets..
