Anyone know if this is still a bogfest?

Cheers

Sherwood Pines? I rode the red route last week and was really surprised. Not done it for years and most was dry and fast. Only a couple of shortish boggy bits.

what he said.

2 weeks ago the red was mostly dry (and almost dusty!) with a few mucky sections.

in other words: bloody great 🙂

Wasn't bad at all on Sunday.
Not sure where you went for a bog fest though, a bit slick in places & plenty of puddles at it's worst, but bog fest?
If it was, it's the first I've ever known of in 18 years of riding there!

What is the red actually like?

Is there much to ride around there?

The red is a blue in reality

They are starting to implement features that are more Red level but on the whole it's a blue.
Ridden it quite a lot as we use it for a place to introduce friends to MTB'ing without them being surprised by any features

It's alright- time before last that I was there the last section by the visitor centre was basically a swamp but last time I went it was shut and they were working on it. Rest of it was mostly fine with the odd big puddle on some of the more badly thought out corner.

As a trail, if the weather is too bad for you to ride in the Peak it's an adequate day out. Nothing more though.

I quite like it as a 'fitness' ride.

Two laps - fast as you can and a play on the real red part (the jumpy bit).

When white peak is boggy....I save the local trails and hit Sherwood on way home from work.......

Nice flow to it.....
