I have all sorts of bike related junk in the shed but the one component type that seems to grow more rapidly than any other is.....handlebars.

Looking at my collection of bars was like reviewing a history of MTBs from narrow (really narrow) flat bars, risers (narrow), risers (wide) then wider, wide flat bars then wider flat bars etc. I donated a lot to the local skip but still have half a dozen or so on the grounds that 'you never know....I might want them one day".

Am I alone in this or might handlebars be making a subtle move to overwhelm the national mancave space?

I've got a few, but loads of tyres. Mostly worn, but I always think they may be useful for some reason.

Most my shed is full of just general house junk. Paint cans and mounds of god knows what. I need to clear it out and then I could probably shift the bike clutter in my house into the shed 😀 (except the bikes. Too many shed break ins round my way to risk bikes in there).

Tyres....I just chuck them but have a curious, subliminal urge to hang onto handlebars!

I used to have an Aladdin's cave going on in the garage but it was getting stupid. I got rid of everything that wasn't currently attached to a bike or otherwise in service. Now got a nice clean garage but I had some cool stuff that I miss now.

Bike jumble em. Earn £50 then spend £50 on different new junk.

that's really quite nifty. I could make a fair stab at 3 or 4 of those trophies, at least!

I have 4 chain devices for 1 singelspeed, and 2 1x10s with n-w rings. Why?

Chains and Cassettes, bagged up in matched pairs! I don't get it myself! I'm never going to use them, can't bring myself to chuck them(Xtr, cost a lot!), no one wants used Cassettes and Chains!

I just tend to give my excess bike clutter away. There's always someone at work or on the trail that can't afford or justify an upgrade. Bristol and Bath both have bike recycle places that do up and give away bikes for charity, etc. They always take stuff.

Still got 2 spare bars though.
