Ive been lucky enough to normally keep my decent bikes indoors but have a need to store one in the shed.

The shed itself is very heavily built, if theyre going in itll be taking the front door apart/off/through. There is also a very heavy lump of concrete with a ground anchor in situ and several very heavy duty chain locks.

And fortunately, the shed door is hidden from view (apart from the immediate neighbours) as am I when returning home, Im sure some scrote could figure it out with a bit of effort but ive a reasonable level of security through obscurity. Unlike an Asgard you would just think its an over built shed and not full of bikes.

I dont think theres much more I can do apart from add an alarm/claymore mine.

Google suggests killing bike thieves with Claymores is in a legal grey area. But alarms are ok, whats decent out there and what sort of features I might mot be aware of are worthwhile. I dont mind spending a few quid for something decent.

I have a Tapo camera in mine which sends an alert to my phone if movement is detected. I set a zone by the door so it is triggered by somebody entering. Not exactly sure what I will do if the worst happened and I was far away but it is piece of mind to be able to check up occasionally. Obviously it needs power and WiFi coverage.

I have Veho Cave. Two PIR sensors inside garage with Wi-Fi hub / alarm. You can add an external alarm but I have it in my phone.
it’s saved my bikes twice already.

I have a cheap driveway alarm which is just a battery powered PIR sensor that faces the doorway. We have the wireless receiver in our hallway. Just remember to turn it on when you are done with the shed for the night. It just chirps like a doorbell when someone opens our shed door. Cost about £15 about 10 years ago.

We’ve got Hosmart drive way alarms in all three sheds, they’ve got a good range and three sensors feedback to one alarm in the house

Camera is excellent- I have a Blink, which pushes movement notifications to my phone, so even if I'm out I'll get an alarm, as well as obviously taking video. But mostly it's just been amazing for peace of mind- hear a weird noise outside? Check the camera, find out if it's a thief or a cat or if it's a bike falling over. I'm not really recommending the Blink itself as it's old, but, something exactly like it.

The cheap shed alarms with teh sounder in the shed are close to worthless- you might not hear it, the thief definitely will and will silence it in seconds, and the neighbours will go "oh thank god that alarm's stopped" and go back to sleep.

But, these are actually not bad: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Security-Wireless-Driveway-Receiver-Detector/dp/B06XRYTKB8/ref=sr_1_44?crid=3N44Y5ME2BNDB&keywords=shed+alarm&qid=1659912062&refinements=p_76%3A419158031&rnid=419157031&rps=1&sprefix=shed+alarm+%2Caps%2C82&sr=8-44

I recommend these a lot- they're so cheap, and completely wireless. You get two remotes so if you set them up to overlap, nobody can disable both without setting off the alarm. And the sounder is in the house, so, your thief might not even know it's gone off- we damn nearly caught the last guys who broke into ours because of that. You can actually bind more alarms together to have more senders and more alarms, they don't advertise that but it's a nice addition. Sure, a professional alarm is better but not £25. And you can fit one of these in 2 minutes.

Actually something along the lines of blink might be a decent shout. The way the shed is built, back close up to a wall, bike bit is in the middle with log stores either side, living roof on top, theyd be going in through the front. That front is also just off the straight path from the back door to the garden gate. And not a long space either, say 15-20m.

Might have to look at the options there.
