Do I need sealant?
Quickly tried a UST tire on it, inflated fine but air leaked when I gave the side wall a good squashing?
Any advice would be appreciated.

819 + ust tyre doesn't [i]need[/i] sealant but if you run low pressure and squeeze sidewall enough (or ride offcamber) yeah you can get them to "burp"
possibly not a bad idea to add some if you're worried about thorn/glass punctures

should be no need for sealant with a UST tyre on an 819...
where did the air leak from when you 'squished' it
how did you squish
what pressure was it at
