Obviously I lucked on getting it right last time but after replacing my crankset (old square taper deore thing for a truativ noir and hope chainring) I can't get it even close to running right.

Any tips on how to set a superstar top guide so its quiet and doesn't rub???

Side rub or top and bottom?

If it helps ended up shimming my m part one with brake shims between the cage and the arm.

Mpart guide + shimano crank - fail.

If i had iscg mounts I would spend the extra!

Most guides I've fitted ended up having to be adjusted with shims and or bent grinded beaten
Into a shape place where they don't rub
But worth the time to make them silent

My superstar on is also shimmed, bit of plastic and some cut up inner tube.

That looks like the same moulding as the m part cage. Iirc changing the angle helped as there are wide and narrow bits in the opening.

Failing that Might need to file it or ignore the rub.
