Does anyone on here happen to have a set of rollers lying around that are getting no use, and which they would like to get rid of? I am searching on behalf of my poor brother.

There was a turbo trainer on FB marketplace about 20 mins ago, do you want me to check again?

Where is your brother located, roughly?

My brother lives in Blackburn. But I live in Cardiff, so we've got the M4 corridor covered as well.

They're good to start then as boring as turbos.

Falling off is disappointing, i was hoping for flying forward across the living room and crashing through the window. What happens is you just topple sideways and end up wedged behind the couch laughing your head off.

I saw a set the other day in a charity ahop was well excited. 90quid!

I've got a Tacx Galaxia T1100.

I got them (are rollers plural or singular? There's obviously one unit but three rollers on it) from a friend who'd not used them much at all. I've not used them much at all either - 10 rides? They seem to have a bit of bearing noise but everything spins perfectly, I just got annoyed by the noise.

I'm in Newbury, so that's kind of M4. PM me if interested.

Bearing noise can be cured by loctiting them in to the rollers (on my Antares anyway).

I'm a fan, a set of smart rollers or Kreitlers shall one day grace my garage...

@nobeerinthefridge i have a set of planet x resist rollers you could try? Wasn't intending on selling them just yet, as I occasionally dabble with them still, but have never really got comfortable with them yet.

To bring excitement levels up buy some of the plastic rollers. The level of static build up is quite something. Enjoy avoiding touching anything then when you’re about to fall grab onto the steel garage racking and rejoice in the loud CRACK!! When it is discharged. You’ll say words you never realised were in your vocabulary!

I've got a set of Tacx something or others in the loft. They're about 12 years old, have a resistance thingy on them, and haven't seen a lot of use. I burnt more nervous energy on them than anything else and ended up with a spinning bike after about 6 months.

Not far from Bracknell/Swinley.

I had that same issue on my Tacx Galaxia. Sounded like the bearings were shot straight out of the box, a sort of gronking noise. I did the same thing with loctite and it mostly went away.
