When I put the recommended 120cc in the damper side and re-insert the lockout/damper/red cartridge a fair bit of oil is squeezed out the top, should I put less in?
Was it not something like 110ml +-5ml? Anyway it might be the o ring there as mine squizes oil through the gate adjuster as well, they will probably squeeze the excess oil and stop leaking once the level is right (that's what happened on my Reba anyway).
Before you put the damper unit back in, slowly bounce the fork a few times to make sure the oil has settled into the bottom of the leg, and only put the damper in with the fork fully extended.
Also, you [i]should[/i] have cycled the fork a few times to drain ALL the oil out. If you didn't do this, it's possible you still have some old stuff in there.....
