I have a set of DT Swiss XMC 130 forks on my Soul which have been amazing for year. Occasionally serviced through TF Tuned and kept in trim.
After a break from cycling for a while I went out on my bike and found the seals must have gone on the forks and oil is pouring from the top of them. I guessed was overdue a service anyhow so contacted TF Tuned only to find they won't look at these forks anymore, and DT Swiss no longer supports them....
I've never serviced forks myself so a bit daunted to work at them, especially as DT Swiss won't provide a manual, or specific parts for the forks.
Any thoughts / advice on getting them sorted?
I have found this video which seems to walk through taking a similar model to bits. But no idea on what parts I'd need to get!
I have no specific knowledge except to say give it a go yourself. The seals are likey to be a standard size for the stanchion diameter. Exhaustive web searching will help maybe with oil weights and volumes. Carefully measuring any o-rings will enable you to find replacements - you might need to buy in bulk though!
Good luck!
I had a similar era dt fork and it was fine to work on.
Seals etc are a doddle on pretty much any fork so long as you can find suitable ones.
Some of this may be of help (IANAPFSE):
Manual for that series of forks

I think those forks will be 32mm stanchions - I think all the forks with 32mm stanchions use the same seals - but ask tftuned if you're not sure

Video showing how to disassemble/reassemble - I think its actually an exm fork, but might be applicable to yours
Thanks thats really helpful. Never taken a fork apart so somewhat daunted. The other places near me that do forks won't touch DT Swiss so was worried there was something super complicated about them...
I have the oil and some seals on order following the advice you have given. Will report back when the parts arrive and I get started / confused!
It might also be worth looking up servicing Pace RC40/41 forks as I believe DT swiss bought the designs from Pace when they first started.
If the fork bridge is one of the backwards facing ones (i.e. behind the stantions rather than in front) it will be similarly constructed to the Pace forks above. Might be worth a look for spares too.
Fork English (no idea if they are still going) used to be a Pace specialist so maybe could assist with details on the your Fork.
Swiss so was worried there was something super complicated about them…
Lack of spares availability and training/certification I think is the likely issue. Outside their service centres getting parts only at retail makes it difficult to do at a reasonable cost.
Lack of training&certification means even if it's identical to A N other fork doing it professionally is foolish given the potential ramifications if it guess wrong.
There's plenty of stuff I'd happily do DIY but not touch commercially.
Tf are/were official service centre for a while I think, pace before them iirc.
Pace do fork servicing and certainly used to support DT Swiss so maybe worth a call?
Just got the fork back from Pace who were able to do the servicing. Easy peasy, thanks for the recommendation. Will try to be brave and service them myself next time...
