I have a set of Hope lights i am looking to sell. However, it appears royal mail, myhermes and various other couriers wont allow the postage of batteries via their network.

Has anyone experienced any issues posting lights/small batteries in practice?

Ta

I have posted both hope and exposure lights using Royal Mail with no problems. But then I was never asked the contents.

I've noticed this recently that they have started to ask the contents "for security". I posted a phone and was told as long as the battery wasn't "loose" that it was fine. If you tell them the battery is fixed inside and does not come out it will be fine. They just scan some shitty barcode thing and post it.

When I sent my Hope R4 back to be fixed I was told at the post office that the battery had to be connected up to the light for posting. So that's what I did.
Hope sent it back to me disconnected with a rubber cover over the end of the battery connector.
