Box it in a bike box.
Weigh it.
Note the box dimensions.
Use the interweb to search different couriers.
find the cost.
get back up off the floor 😉

I'm about to send a bike with Paisley. £21.50 for a bike in a box. Then £25.99 for £750 of insurance.

I've used them a few times for gearboxes and car wheels and they've always been fine.

Parcelmonkey.com you pick the company from a list and insurance is cheap (and they pay out speaking from experience!)

Definitely a bike box from LBS is cheapest and best way

Sent one from Leicestershire to Kent a few months back for £21.50 through Paisleyfreight.
They come to your house and pick it up. Pack it well (box from bike shop) and take wheels off and you'll have no bother...it was easy-peasy and arrived exactly as I'd posted it. I didn't have insurance - I think it was included in the price but I could be wrong...

I would use them again if I needed to send a bike - wouldn't bother with anyone else.
