sick off fiddling about changing tyres for commuting and cx riding. Whats a decent semi slick style tyre good for a road commute with a little broken road as well, and cx trainingin the forest and fell

cheers

Not the lightest, but I never take off my Landcruisers.

I think that's what I've got on the CX and they are fine on anything except wet mud. Slick with token grooves up the sides of the treads.

Funny, I just had a conversation with a mate,
He suggested Schwalbe CX pro.
Cheap and cheerful enough to try apparently.
I will let you know how I get on.

Landcruisers on my pompino too, suprisingly fast on road and good on non muddy off road. Heavy and bombproof, look like they might last forever.

I'm commuting on schwalbe cx comp tyres at the moment- good enough for muddy tracks and bridle paths yet doesn't seem too much draggier on the road than the conti gator skin slicks I was running in the summer.
